“Chin Hin Group Property Bhd will sell four subsidiaries for RM74 million to focus on property development, boost cash flow, and fund new landbank acquisitions in high-growth areas like Klang Valley.”

Kuala Lumpur, 15th August 2025, 10.40am – Chin Hin Group Property Bhd will divest its commercial vehicle and bodyworks operations in a RM74 million deal, as the company shifts its focus entirely to property development.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Thursday, the group said the sale of its entire stakes in four subsidiaries — Boon Koon Vehicles Industries Sdn Bhd, BKCV Sdn Bhd, Boon Koon Fleet Management Sdn Bhd, and BK Fleet Management Sdn Bhd — to N&K Resources (M) Sdn Bhd, a real estate company owned by All Trade Resources (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, is a strategic move to streamline operations and strengthen financial flexibility.

The proposed disposals are expected to generate a pre-tax gain of RM2.4 million. Chin Hin originally acquired the subsidiaries between 2004 and 2015 for RM64.92 million. Collectively, the units contributed an unaudited profit after tax of RM125,318 for the financial period ended May 31, 2025.

Strategic shift to property focus
CEO of the property development division, Chang Tze Yoong, said proceeds from the sale will be used for landbank acquisitions in high-growth areas such as the Klang Valley, as well as to fund ongoing projects and pursue new growth opportunities.

“This transaction will strengthen our cash position, improve liquidity, and enhance the overall financial resilience of the group,” Chang said.

Following the disposal, Chin Hin will focus exclusively on residential property projects in prime locations. The transaction is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026.

Shares in Chin Hin closed two sen lower at RM1.06 on Thursday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM1.4 billion. The stock has fallen nearly 7% year-to-date.
