Hafizuddin Sulaiman named as the new CFO at UEM Sunrise

KUALA LUMPUR, 28 July 2023 – According to Bursa Malaysia annoucement, UEM Sunrise Berhad ("UEM Sunrise" or the "Company") announced Hafizuddin Sulaiman's appointment as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective August 1, 2023.

Azmy Mahbot, the group's acting principal of finance, will resume his position as head, controller of the group on the same date as Hafizuddin assumes his new position.

Hafizuddin, 48, held the position of Group Head of Strategy for QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd prior to his appointment. He has held a number of high managerial positions, including those of Chief Treasury Officer and Head of Treasury at Permodalan Nasional Bhd. and Berjaya Corp Bhd.

Hafizuddin has more than 22 years of experience and was experienced in business planning, venture capital, stocks, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). From May 2005 until October 2019, he served as director of finance at Khazanah Nasional Bhd.

Hafizuddin, holder of bachelor's degree from Universiti Teknologi MARA, is also a chartered accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and has worked with Ernst and Young for more than five years.
