Kuala Lumpur, 06th November 2025, 01.20pm – Jesselton International has unveiled its latest signature project, The V by Jesselton, a RM1.5 billion mixed-use waterfront development located along the Likas Bay coastline, marking one of Sabah’s most ambitious urban regeneration efforts to date.
According to a recent press statement, the project officially broke ground on Oct 6, spanning 10.04 acres of prime seafront land gazetted under Lands No S5-2012, guaranteeing permanent sea views protected from any future land reclamation.
Developed in collaboration with Yayasan Sabah, the project will feature four towers and a retail park, comprising 1,754 commercial serviced suites, 112 corporate office units, and around 300 retail outlets across 70 en bloc buildings.
Unit sizes for the commercial suites range between 425 and 1,090 sq ft, while office suites measure between 1,624 and 2,153 sq ft. Retail shops span from 1,804 sq ft (single level) to 9,963 sq ft (five-storey en bloc), with serviced suite prices starting at RM300,000, or approximately RM690 per sq ft.
Sustainable & Wellness-Focused Design
The V’s master plan integrates bioclimatic design principles to maximise natural ventilation and daylight. It features open-air corridors, shaded walkways, and green terraces that promote comfort, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
Signature highlights include:
- Borneo’s tallest indoor atrium
- Malaysia’s first 100-metre seafront infinity lap pool
- Over 30 resort-style facilities, including rooftop zen gardens, pickleball courts, wellness trails, and sky dining decks
Construction is led by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, continuing its collaboration with Jesselton International following the successful completion of Jesselton Twin Towers. The V by Jesselton is targeted for completion in 2030.
Developer Vision

Complementing the residences are The Shoppes at The V and The RiverWalk — an open-air waterfront promenade featuring lifestyle retail, dining, and leisure spaces. The project will also introduce Kota Kinabalu’s first wellness-focused office tower, integrating garden terraces and workplace lifestyle amenities.
