“Oriental Interest Bhd is acquiring 68.12 acres of land in Bukit Raja for RM80.77 million to expand its Selangor landbank and support future property development plans.”
Kuala Lumpur, 08th January 2026, 02.39pm – Property developer Oriental Interest Bhd is strengthening its landbank in Selangor with a RM80.77 million cash acquisition of 68.12 acres of land in Bukit Raja.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the acquisition was formalised on Dec 31, 2025 through a sale and purchase agreement between its 70%-owned subsidiary, Myra Land Sdn Bhd, and SJ Properties Sdn Bhd.
The remaining 30% stake in Myra Land is held by Pesaka Saujana Properties Sdn Bhd, a related third party. SJ Properties is a wholly owned subsidiary of Syarikat Permodalan Kebangsaan Bhd.
Oriental Interest noted that parts of the land are currently occupied by tenants, although these tenancies are expected to lapse by the time the transaction is completed.
The purchase consideration of RM80.77 million was determined based on prevailing market prices of neighbouring parcels and the site’s development potential. The group added that no formal valuation has been carried out to date, but Myra Land plans to appoint an independent valuer to fulfil requirements for submission to the Economic Planning Unit for approval.
According to the group, the acquisition aligns with its strategy to expand its landbank in strategic locations. Oriental Interest said the Bukit Raja land will support its long-term growth plans, leveraging its established strengths and niche in property development within the central region of Peninsular Malaysia.
