Kuala Lumpur, 28th July 2025, 10.26am – Sime Darby Property Bhd announced that its upcoming KLGCC Mall in Bukit Kiara has achieved an impressive 85% committed occupancy as of July 2025, ahead of its scheduled opening in October this year.

The update was shared during a tenant engagement event held by the developer today, signaling strong tenant confidence in the lifestyle-centric retail development.

Strategically located within the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) Resort, the mall spans a net lettable area (NLA) of 240,000 square feet and forms part of an integrated development that includes Menara KLGCC and Senada Residences.

KLGCC Mall marks Sime Darby Property’s third fully-owned retail asset, following the successful launches of KL East Mall and Elmina Lakeside Mall—both of which have achieved full occupancy.

Key Tenants and First-in-Market Concepts

KLGCC Mall’s anchor tenants include:

  • Jaya Grocer, launching its first gourmet-style concept store;
  • Serai Group, which will anchor a dedicated lifestyle and dining zone on Level Four, including a Serai Event Hall for weddings and corporate events.

Several high-profile brands will also make their Malaysia debut at KLGCC Mall, such as:

  • Harborland (family entertainment),
  • Fiel by Kay’s Steak & Lobster,
  • Coast & Roast,
  • Goyo, a Jeju-inspired hair salon,
  • ParaThai Signature,
  • Bad Scones, and
  • Eden Social Club.

In addition, local lifestyle brands like Kualesa and Inari Jewellery will open their first-ever physical outlets at the mall.

Other notable tenants include ACE Hardware, Asia Ballet Academy, Huckleberry, Toys “R” Us, Mokky’s Pizza & Coffee, Siti Li Dining, Thai Odyssey, and Pasta Zanmai, among others.

The mall will also house event-centric features, including a rooftop amphitheatre offering panoramic views of the golf course, designed for performances and community events.

SDP Strengthens Retail Footprint

Sime Darby Property said the high occupancy rate reflects strong market interest in premium, experience-driven retail environments. “With the addition of KLGCC Mall, we aim to redefine the integrated township experience by offering curated retail, wellness, and lifestyle destinations,” the developer noted in a statement.

The KLGCC Mall is expected to further solidify Sime Darby Property’s position in the retail real estate segment, aligning with its broader transformation into a real estate investment trust (REIT) ready entity.
