Sunway Property: RM2 billion Industrial & Commercial Development in Rawang

PETALING JAYA, 3 Aug 2023 – Sunway Property, the real estate division of Sunway Berhad, would develop industrial and commercial properties in Rawang on 245 acres of premium freehold land with a gross development value (GDV) of at least RM2 billion.

Factory, warehouse, and commercial components will be included in the projected Industrial Tech Park, according to Sarena Cheah, managing director of Sunway Property.

She claims that the industrial park's goal is to develop a dynamic environment that includes cutting-edge infrastructure, solid digital connectivity, and sustainable components.

In order to buy the land in Kuang for RM115 million, Kauthar Equities Sdn Bhd and Sunway Rawang City Sdn Bhd (SRCSB), a fully owned subsidiary of Sunway Property, entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) on August 2.

The land will be purchased and developed through a joint venture between Sunway City Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sunway, and Amal Resources Sdn Bhd, who signed a Joint Venture Agreement on the same day to subscribe to SRCSB as the joint venture company.

Cheah claimed that the area has good connectivity and is located next to the LATAR Expressway.

As a complement to the expanding industrial sectors in the Kuang and Rawang regions, like the Kuang Industrial Park and Rawang Industrial Park, the remarkable position makes it the ideal location for the proposed industrial park.
