Alpha Galaxy, Senheng Sign MoU for Galaxy Exchange in Puncak Alam

PUNCAK ALAM, Sept 25 — Alpha Galaxy Sdn Bhd and Senheng Electric (KL) Sdn Bhd have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the Galaxy Exchange commercial development in Puncak Alam, Selangor.

The collaboration includes a proposed rewards programme for purchasers of commercial units at Galaxy Avenue, which forms part of the 166-acre Galaxy Exchange masterplan.

Alpha Galaxy said eligible purchasers would receive RM50,000 worth of S-Coin. However, the announcement did not specify the programme’s eligibility requirements, issuance arrangements, validity period or redemption conditions.

S-Coin is Senheng’s rewards scheme for PlusOne members. It can be used to redeem eligible products through Senheng’s channels, subject to the prevailing membership terms, redemption limits and product exclusions.

Collaboration Targets Puncak Alam’s Growing Community

Alpha Galaxy chief operating officer Abdul Wadood said the MoU marked the beginning of a new relationship intended to create opportunities for customers, businesses and the surrounding community.

He said the developer aims to create an environment where businesses can grow, people can connect and communities can benefit from the development.

Senheng corporate strategy officer YY Lim said the retailer sees further growth potential in Puncak Alam due to its expanding population, nearby townships and the student community at UiTM Puncak Alam.

Lim added that Senheng’s services extend beyond retail sales to include delivery, installation and after-sales support. These services could serve first-time property buyers and households furnishing or upgrading their homes.

“We are not just looking for footfall. We are looking for communities we can grow alongside,” Lim said.

Galaxy Walk Planned as New Commercial Component

Alpha Galaxy also plans to introduce Galaxy Walk, a proposed 3.4-acre lifestyle and commercial component within Galaxy Exchange.

Registration of interest for the development is scheduled to open in October 2026.

According to the developer, Galaxy Walk is planned to comprise 20 commercial units intended for flagship retailers. Prices are expected to start from RM2.45 million.

The proposed units will have built-up areas ranging from approximately 2,265 sq ft to 7,576 sq ft.

Plans for Galaxy Walk also include a 23,000 sq ft event hall intended for weddings, corporate functions and other organised activities.

Alpha Galaxy envisages the development accommodating a mix of retail, food and beverage, fitness and service-based businesses.

Galaxy Exchange Expands Its Commercial Offering

Galaxy Walk and Galaxy Avenue form part of the wider Galaxy Exchange masterplan, which Alpha Galaxy describes as an integrated development combining business, retail, community and lifestyle components.

The partnership with Senheng adds another commercial collaboration to the development as Alpha Galaxy seeks to establish Galaxy Exchange as a business and community destination within the growing Puncak Alam corridor.

Further details on the proposed S-Coin rewards programme, including purchaser eligibility and redemption conditions, have yet to be announced.
