“Tropicana Metropark has pledged RM5 million towards the construction of the Taman Batu Tiga Mosque in Subang Jaya, supporting community development and ESG initiatives.”
Kuala Lumpur, 15th June 2026, 04.00pm – Tropicana Metropark has pledged RM5 million towards the construction of the Taman Batu Tiga Mosque in Subang Jaya, reinforcing Tropicana Corp Bhd’s commitment to community development and environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives.
In a statement, Tropicana said the mosque project is being undertaken in collaboration with Perbadanan Wakaf Selangor (PWS) and the Jawatankuasa Pembinaan Masjid Batu Tiga (ProTEM).
The mosque will be built on a 1.28-acre site in Taman Batu Tiga and is expected to accommodate approximately 2,000 worshippers upon completion.
According to the developer, the new mosque will serve residents within Tropicana Metropark and surrounding neighbourhoods, addressing the growing need for community and religious facilities in the area.
Supporting Community Development
Tropicana said the RM5 million contribution reflects its focus on creating sustainable and inclusive communities under its “OneTropicana” vision.
Executive director of authority liaison Shahril Salam said Tropicana Metropark has been planned since 2013 as a well-connected township featuring residential, commercial, educational and recreational components centred around a 9.2-acre urban park.
He added that the mosque is expected to strengthen community ties, promote social cohesion and enhance the overall well-being of residents.
During the handover ceremony, Perbadanan Wakaf Selangor chairman Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir said the collaboration demonstrates PWS’ commitment to supporting socio-economic development and improving facilities for the Muslim community.
He noted that the new mosque would provide an additional place of worship for residents in Subang Jaya while encouraging stronger community engagement.

MetProperty Analysis
As townships mature, community infrastructure is becoming increasingly important alongside residential and commercial developments.
The addition of a mosque within Tropicana Metropark highlights the growing emphasis among developers on placemaking and ESG-driven initiatives. Beyond providing a place of worship, such facilities contribute to the overall liveability of a township and help strengthen long-term community engagement.
With buyers placing greater importance on convenience and quality of life, integrated developments that combine housing with educational, recreational and social infrastructure are expected to remain attractive in established urban areas such as Subang Jaya.
