Avaland launches The Island @ Cybersouth, a 40-acre eco-friendly space with a 37-acre waterbody, set for completion this year.

Kuala Lumpur, 17th Feb 2025, 11.15am – Property developer Avaland Bhd has officially broken ground on The Island at Cybersouth, a 40-acre eco-centric development within the 417-acre Cybersouth township.

Designed as a sustainable landmark, The Island features a 37-acre waterbody, vertical forests, and an adventure & nature trail showcasing local biodiversity. Key highlights include a sunset deck and observation towers, enhancing outdoor recreation while promoting environmental conservation.

Approximately 70% of the landscaping consists of climate-resilient, low-maintenance native plants. The project integrates eco-friendly features such as energy-efficient lighting, rainwater harvesting, and recycled materials to minimize its environmental footprint. It is slated for completion this year.

In addition to The Island, Avaland is enhancing Cybersouth’s infrastructure, including a new main access road set to improve connectivity for over 100,000 residents.

“Upgrading key infrastructure and introducing promenades along the central spine have strengthened connectivity throughout the township. These enhancements seamlessly link the commercial hub, recreational island, amenities, and residential areas, fostering a vibrant, well-connected community,” said Avaland chief operating officer Aw Sei Cheh.

Avaland is also gearing up for multiple new launches in Cybersouth, including the first phase of the Meria commercial hub and Avalon, a Balinese-inspired landed home project. Alongside the fully taken-up Casa Embun, these developments contribute to an ongoing gross development value (GDV) of RM1.084 billion.

Beyond Cybersouth, Avaland is set to launch RM1.8 billion worth of projects in 2024 and another RM1.6 billion in 2025. Upcoming launches include the second phases of Alora Residences in USJ and Anja Residences in Bangi, as well as the third Aetas luxury development in Taman Desa.
