Kuala Lumpur, 05th Mar 2025, 01.05pm – Eco World Development Group Bhd has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Deye New Energy Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to sell 32.9 acres of industrial land in Eco Business Park II (EBP II), Senai, Iskandar Malaysia, for RM119 million.
Deye, a subsidiary of China-based Ningbo Deye Technology Co, is a major player in the global solar inverter market. The company has announced plans to invest up to US$150 million (RM668 million) in establishing a solar equipment manufacturing base in Malaysia.

Deye’s solar inverters are known for their high efficiency in converting solar energy, minimizing energy wastage. EcoWorld Malaysia noted that Deye’s presence in Malaysia will support the country’s transition to cost-effective and energy-efficient renewable solutions. The company will manufacture both solar inverters and energy storage systems at its new facility, positioning Malaysia as a key player in the Southeast Asian renewable energy market.
The investment is expected to bolster Malaysia’s solar industry, creating jobs in manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and related sectors as demand for solar energy continues to rise across the region.
