“Crescendo Corp has extended the conditional period for its RM200.88 million industrial land disposal in Kota Tinggi, Johor, pending fulfilment of a TNB-related requirement.”
Kuala Lumpur, 19th June 2026, 01.05pm – Crescendo Corp Bhd’s proposed RM200.88 million disposal of industrial land in Kota Tinggi, Johor has been extended by another month after both parties agreed to revise the timeline under the sale and purchase agreement (SPA).
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said Crescendo Development Sdn Bhd and purchaser Pioneer Real Estate Development Sdn Bhd had signed an addendum to extend the conditional period until July 13, 2026.
The extension provides additional time for the fulfilment of the sole outstanding condition precedent under the agreement.
According to the filing, the remaining requirement involves obtaining a letter of undertaking and indemnity to Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) relating to the transfer of land designated for the construction of a Pencawang Masuk Utama (PMU) that will serve the development.
The transaction involves vacant industrial land in Kota Tinggi and has been progressing since at least January 2026, when Crescendo issued a circular to shareholders regarding the proposed disposal.
Apart from the revised timeline, the terms of the transaction remain unchanged.
Growing Importance of Infrastructure Readiness
The latest extension highlights the increasing importance of utility infrastructure in Johor’s industrial property market.
As demand for industrial land continues to rise, particularly from manufacturing and data centre investors, access to reliable power infrastructure has become a critical factor in facilitating large-scale developments.
Johor has emerged as one of Malaysia’s fastest-growing industrial and digital infrastructure destinations, supported by strong foreign direct investment, data centre expansion and the development of the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).
