“Pahang has resolved 98% of settler land ownership issues, benefiting nearly 43,000 settlers, with remaining cases involving inheritance matters.”

Pahang, 17th December 2025, 03.10pm – The Pahang government has successfully resolved 98% of settler land ownership cases, marking a major milestone in addressing a long-standing issue affecting thousands of residents across the state.

Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the progress reflects the state administration’s sustained commitment to safeguarding the rights of nearly 43,000 settlers, ensuring ownership matters are settled in accordance with established laws and procedures.

Speaking after the handover of land titles to settlers from Felda Lepar Utara 1, 2 and 4, as well as participants of the Tanah Rakyat Scheme, Wan Rosdy said the latest distribution brought the resolution rate to 98%.

He acknowledged that some settlers had waited more than four decades to receive their land titles, stressing that the delays were not intentional but stemmed from the need to comply with regulatory and procedural requirements.

Wan Rosdy said efforts are ongoing to address the remaining 2% of unresolved cases, which largely involve technical and inheritance-related issues.

He also reminded settlers who have received their land titles to manage their properties responsibly and leverage them to sustain or enhance their income.
