“Sapura Industrial is selling a freehold land parcel in Seremban for RM24.72 million, expecting a RM6.7 million gain to fund working capital and expansion.”

Kuala Lumpur, 26th December 2025, 11.00am – Sapura Industrial Bhd has entered into an agreement to dispose of its freehold industrial land in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, for RM24.72 million in cash, with the proceeds earmarked for general working capital and business expansion.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, the company said the sale involves a 35,332-square-metre land parcel and is being undertaken through its wholly owned subsidiary, Sapura Machining Corporation Sdn Bhd, following the issuance of a letter of offer to purchasers Lim Chee Cheng and Lim Chee Meng.

The group expects to record a gain of approximately RM6.7 million from the disposal.

Sapura Industrial said the proceeds will be utilised over the next 24 months to support working capital requirements, capital expenditure, and the expansion of its production lines.

The board noted that the divestment comes at an appropriate time, as the land has been held as an investment asset for about seven years and is no longer considered core to the group’s operational needs.

According to the filing, the land was originally acquired for RM16.69 million and was most recently valued at RM25 million by Raine & Horne International Zaki + Partners Sdn Bhd on Nov 19.

Sapura Machining Corporation is principally involved in the manufacturing of automotive components, serving customers such as Proton, Perodua and Ford Philippines.

Shares of Sapura Industrial closed unchanged at 78 sen on Wednesday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM56.8 million.
