“Exsim Hospitality plans to diversify into construction and centralised procurement, targeting at least 25% net profit contribution while strengthening project management and reducing reliance on hospitality operations.”

Kuala Lumpur, 11th February 2026, 03.40pm – Exsim Hospitality Bhd has proposed diversifying into construction works and centralised procurement of building materials and household appliances, a strategic move expected to contribute at least 25% to the group’s net profit in the future.

The hospitality operator said the expansion will complement its existing fit-out and hospitality operations while reducing reliance on any single business segment. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Exsim noted that the integrated approach is expected to improve coordination across its business units and enhance alignment in project planning, cost management and execution.

The group believes the diversification will strengthen its project management capabilities and support more efficient delivery across its operations over the long term.

Currently, Exsim’s core businesses include operating owned hospitality assets, providing short-term accommodation, managing third-party serviced residences and boutique hotels, as well as undertaking fit-out works for hospitality properties.

Under the proposed diversification, the company may undertake construction and procurement projects for both its own managed assets and third-party clients across hospitality, residential, commercial and corporate sectors.

The new activities will be carried out under its wholly owned subsidiary, Exsim Concepto Sdn Bhd, which already provides specialised fit-out services. Exsim Concepto holds a Grade G7 contractor licence, allowing it to tender for construction projects of unlimited value.

While its past projects have largely focused on fit-out works, Exsim said it has completed similar projects across other asset classes, including renovations for sales galleries, residential and commercial buildings and bank branches.

Exsim Hospitality added that the proposed diversification could generate at least 25% of the group’s net profit or involve 25% or more of its net assets being allocated to new business activities that differ materially from its current operations.
