Solar District Cooling Wins RM18.5 Million Contract to Upgrade Klang Valley Rail Station Systems

“Solar District Cooling has secured an RM18.5 million contract to upgrade building management systems at Klang Valley rail transit stations over the next two years.”

Kuala Lumpur, 16th July 2026, 10.16am – Solar District Cooling Group Bhd (SDCG) has secured an RM18.5 million contract to upgrade building management systems (BMS) across railway transit stations and ancillary buildings in the Klang Valley.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said its wholly owned subsidiary, Solar District Cooling Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of award from a major facility management company for the project.

Two-Year Upgrade Programme

The contract covers the design, assessment, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and migration of the Stage 2 Building Management System (BMS) upgrade.

The works will ensure compatibility with the existing Stage 1 system while integrating key building services, including:

  • Environmental Control Systems (ECS)
  • Fire Protection Systems
  • Power Systems

The project is scheduled to run for 24 months, from July 15, 2026, to July 15, 2028.

Earnings Contribution

SDCG expects the contract to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets per share from the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026, through to project completion.

The company added that the contract is not expected to have a material impact on its gearing.

Funding for the project will come from a combination of IPO proceeds, trade financing facilities and internally generated funds.

No Shareholder Approval Required

The group said the contract was secured in the ordinary course of business and does not require shareholder or regulatory approval.

It also confirmed that none of its directors, substantial shareholders or related parties has any direct or indirect interest in the contract.

Apart from normal operational and execution risks associated with engineering projects, SDCG does not expect any material risks arising from the award.
