KUALA LUMPUR, 2nd Dec 2023 – Gamuda Land, the property division of Gamuda Bhd, is embarking on a significant venture, investing RM150 million in collaboration with Dusit International to develop Selangor’s first ASAI hotel project in Gamuda Cove.

Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026, the 280-room ASAI Gamuda Cove hotel will be managed by Dusit Hotels and Resorts, a key player in Thailand’s hotel and property development sector. Operating under Dusit’s distinctively locally focused lifestyle brand, ASAI Hotels, this hotel marks the inaugural signing under Dusit’s expanded ‘ASAI Tropical’ model, tailored for properties in areas of exceptional natural beauty.

Chu Wai Lune, Gamuda Land’s CEO, emphasized that venturing into the hotel business aligns with the company’s strategy to enrich its ecosystem by introducing a new service to its township.

Gamuda Cove, sprawling across 619.17 hectares, is a meticulously planned township featuring eco-friendly tourism activities, adventure parks, water parks, and a comprehensive mix of residential and commercial elements. With convenient access to Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, and Kuala Lumpur, the township is set to offer a vibrant living experience.

ASAI Gamuda Cove aims to attract both domestic and international tourists, providing them access to the township’s eco-tourism activities such as SplashMania Waterpark, Discovery Park, and Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, targeting one million visitors annually.

Eusoffe Chua, Gamuda Land’s Chief Commercial Officer, expressed excitement about the partnership with Dusit, emphasizing the alignment of values in creating interconnected spaces. He anticipates a synergistic and enduring collaboration, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the wonders of Gamuda Cove.
