He also emphasized that the launch of the AWS Asia Pacific (Malaysia) Region, backed by a 15-year investment plan, reflects the company’s solid long-term commitment.

The AWS Region, valued at RM29.2 billion, is expected to create over 3,500 jobs and contribute RM57.3 billion to Malaysia’s GDP from 2024 to 2038.

During his speech, the prime minister reaffirmed the government’s dedication to digital transformation and establishing Malaysia as a regional hub for generative artificial intelligence (AI).

“Our approach to attracting digital investments is well-defined, with efforts such as the Digital Economy Blueprint designed to transform Malaysia into a high-income country and a regional leader in digitalisation,” the prime minister stated.
