Selangor, 20th June 2025, 02.16pm – Oriental Kopi Holdings Bhd is set to acquire a factory lot and leasehold land in Puchong, Selangor, for RM23 million, as part of its long-term plan to strengthen operational efficiency and reduce rental expenses.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the company announced that the proposed acquisition will be undertaken by its wholly owned subsidiary, Oriental Coffee International Sdn Bhd, which currently uses the site as its headquarters and warehouse.
Located at Jalan TPP 3, Taman Perindustrian Putra, the industrial land measures approximately 5,260 square metres and includes an existing factory building. The seller, Icon Facade Sdn Bhd, is a private company involved in the aluminium and glass supply industry for construction projects.
Oriental Kopi said the purchase aligns with its strategic goals to lower long-term logistics and operational costs, while securing continued access to a key operational site.
“Owning the property will eliminate future rental obligations and mitigate the risk of tenancy termination. This acquisition offers cost stability and operational continuity for the group,” the company said.
Payment Terms & Completion Timeline
The purchase consideration will be paid in stages, beginning with a 10% deposit. The remaining balance is expected to be settled within three months after signing the Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA).
The SPA is scheduled to be signed on or within 21 days from June 2, 2026, or on a later date if mutually agreed upon by both parties.
The transaction will be funded via a combination of internal funds and bank borrowings, the company noted.
Oriental Kopi said additional details—including full terms of the SPA, rationale, and potential risks—will be disclosed upon the formal execution of the agreement.
