Kuala Lumpur, 16th Aug 2024, 10.30am – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim urged for faster approvals of development projects by federal, state, and local authorities on Thursday, stressing the importance of adhering to regulations to maintain Malaysia’s appeal to regional investors.
He highlighted that despite the country’s positive economic growth and increased project approvals, the Madani government remains committed to enhancing the ease of doing business.
“Today (Thursday), I chaired the 45th meeting of the National Physical Planning Council, which serves as a crucial discussion platform between the federal and state governments for reviewing urban, rural, and national development, along with land use planning,” Anwar stated.
“God willing, the collaboration between the federal and state governments will continue to be enhanced to foster a more comprehensive development planning landscape,” Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim shared in a Facebook post on Thursday.
He added that the meeting also focused on discussing control and management strategies for rare earth element mining activities, aiming to balance economic benefits, sustainability, and the protection of forest reserves.
