Kuala Lumpur, 19th Aug 2024, 11.03am – On Friday, co-working and flexible space provider WORQ, in collaboration with UOA Asset Management Sdn Bhd, announced the expansion of its Menara UOA Bangsar location.
UOA Asset Management, a subsidiary of UOA Group and the manager of UOA REIT, which owns Menara UOA Bangsar, is part of the partnership. The expansion increases the co-working space by 17,500 sq ft, bringing the total area to 32,500 sq ft from the previous 15,000 sq ft.
WORQ co-founder and CEO Stephanie Ping, in her speech at the Menara UOA Bangsar expansion ceremony, announced that the space had already reached 100% occupancy a month before the expansion’s launch. The space is occupied by notable tenants, including venture capital firms like Artem Ventures Sdn Bhd and Antler, funding agency Cradle Fund, and tech giant Alphabet Inc. Ping emphasized that the expansion is aimed at not only increasing their presence but also at cultivating a dynamic community where innovation and collaboration can flourish.
Ping stated that from the outset, WORQ has been dedicated to addressing the changing needs of the Malaysian business community and remains committed to creating spaces that empower businesses to thrive. She also mentioned that WORQ is now focusing on its new outlet, WORQ Intermark, located in Integra Tower on Jalan Tun Razak, which was soft-launched in July. This 24,000 sq ft co-working space, a joint venture with building owner Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP), is already 96% occupied, she added.
The launch ceremony was officiated by MDEC Vice President of Digital Industry Acceleration, Wan Murdani Wan Mohamad.
