Kuala Lumpur, 27th Mar 2025, 11.47am – The Task Force on Sick and Abandoned Private Housing Projects (TFST) has successfully revived 89 private housing projects with a total gross development value (GDV) of RM6.48 billion in the first two months of 2025.
Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu stated that 82 of these projects have obtained their Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC), while seven have resumed steady progress.
As of February, TFST was monitoring 230 delayed projects, 347 sick projects, and 116 abandoned developments, collectively valued at RM107.04 billion.
The ministry, through the National Housing Department, will continue to oversee recovery efforts, with several projects under the Budget 2023 initiative expected to secure their CCC this year.
“We remain committed to collaborating with all stakeholders to resolve sick and abandoned projects, ensuring the well-being of affected homebuyers,” Aiman Athirah said.
