Kuala Lumpur, 28th Nov 2024, 02.45pm – Radium Development Bhd has partnered with GreenRE Sdn Bhd to enhance sustainability in its real estate projects. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to integrate green building principles, aiming to meet rigorous environmental standards.
“Sustainability is not just an option but a responsibility. This partnership underscores our commitment to creating eco-friendly communities and supporting Malaysia’s green agenda,” said Radium Group Managing Director Datuk Gary Gan at the signing ceremony held at the Chancery Ampang Sales Gallery on Thursday.
Radium has already secured provisional GreenRE Gold certification for its projects, including R Suites Chancery Residences in Ampang and Radium Arena in Old Klang Road. Meanwhile, its Radium Adesa project in Sungai Besi has obtained provisional Silver certification.
GreenRE Executive Director Ashwin Thurairajah emphasised that sustainable building practices are now a necessity, stating, “This partnership will have a positive impact on stakeholders, communities, and the environment.”
As part of the ceremony, Radium reintroduced its R Suites Chancery Residences, which now includes a 10,000 sq ft pet-friendly lifestyle park. Gan highlighted the unique feature, noting, “Many public parks in KL are not pet-friendly, and we aim to fill this gap.” Radium is also in talks with an international hotel operator to bring a hotel to the project, with plans to finalise the deal by year-end.
